Simone Biles

Simone Biles is an American gymnast. Born on March 14th, 1997 in Columbus, Ohio U.S.A. In the 2016 Olympics at Rio de Janeiro she became the first female U.S. gymnast to win four gold medals at a single Games and was also the first gymnast who won three consecutive world all-around titles (2013-15). Biles was raised on the streets of Spring Texas, in the Houston metropolitan region. She and her sister Adria were adopted by Ronald and Nellie Biles. Simone became interested in gymnastics at age six during school field trips to Bannon's Gymnastix and she continued there throughout 11 years under the supervision of her coach Aimee Boorman. Biles earned a silver in vault and floor during the women's Junior Olympic National Championships of 2010. She then made her debut at the top levels of the competition. Less than two years later she took the lead in her sport. Biles stood out for her consistent performance, her exuberant attitude and her difficult workout routine in all four events: vaulting uneven bars, floor exercises.
